RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 2, also known as All-Stars 2, is the sequel of the All Star spin-off of RuPaul's Drag Race. On June 17th, 2016, the cast was announced. It has been confirmed that there will be no teams. The official trailer announced a new twist to this season of All Stars: the top two queens in each challenge will have to "lip-sync for their legacy". The queen who wins that lip-sync will receive the opportunity to eliminate a fellow queen. [1] It premiered on the Logo network on August 25th, 2016, at 8pm.
The season featured 10 contestants competing for a cover spot into the "Drag Race Hall of Fame", a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics and a cash prize of $100,000.
The winner of this All Stars season was Alaska.
The theme song playing during the runway every episode is "Sexy Drag Queen (dootdoot 'doot-swift' Remix)", while the song playing during the credits is "Throw Ya Hands Up", from RuPaul's album Realness. Also, for RuPaul's walk on the runway, the classic version of "Cover Girl" was changed to the "Macutchi's Taterz Deep Edit"
